About the Role

The Specific Claims Historical Research Associate reports to HCG’s Managing Partners and the primary responsibilities are to research and develop specific claims as directed by HCG’s Research Coordinator. Outlined below is an abbreviated list of duties and responsibilities:

• Undertake First Nations’ historical research in archives (and other repositories) of BC, Alberta, and Ottawa (intermittent travel will be required).
• Prepare wide-ranging specific claims analyses.
• Develop specific claims’ feasibility reports.
• Write historical specific claims reports.
• Scan and codify records from Federal and Provincial archives.
